Not only do these websites describe services provided, but they also share tips, articles, newsletters and other relevant information. This list is a work in progress, and new links are always being added as I discover them.

A professional association with 1,600+ members. Offers information and membership for editors, as well as information and help for people wanting to work with an editor.
Indexing and Abstracting Society of Canada
Search for indexers specializing in your book's topic, or search for an indexer in your region.

Legal Deposit (Canada)
Canadian publishers are required to send two copies of all books to Library and Archives Canada. This site provides the Legal Deposit forms, address and instructions.
ISBN number (United States)
Apply for ISBN, SAN and ISMN numbers. Site includes links to Bowker's Books in Print and Barcode Suppliers.
LOC Data (United States)
Library of Congress services for publishers includes information about CIP data, ISSN numbers and PCN numbers.
Cataloger-At-Large
Adrienne Bashista has been providing CIP data to the independent publishing community since 2004.
