This is a completely FICTITIOUS book.

I designed this book cover as an assignment for Simon Fraser University's Book Cover Design Intensive.

What an amazing course! The instructors were Peter Cocking, an award-winning book designer and art director at Douglas & McIntyre (a large Canadian publisher based here in Vancouver), and Gabriele Wilson, a designer extraordinaire who designed covers for Knopf in New York.

Ten of us designed about 30 book covers for the fictitious publishing houses created and run by the students in SFU's Summer Publishing Intensive. Those students learned how to run a publishing house, and we learned how to design effective covers that sell books for publishers.
