I've always been fascinated by hands and how interesting and beautiful they are. My mum has healer's hands, now wrinkled and veiny. Dad's right hand is scarred from an accident, with one knotty arthritic joint. I like to photograph hands in black & white.
The clamshell binding holds booklets about people's hands. Each person's booklet includes a relief print of their first initial, a black & white photograph of the backs of their hands, and a handprint of their palm.
